Big being the new track is big and fast , and better numbers turned up for round 11 being 11 cars. With heat racing in the after noon , a quick water of the track and heat racing action was on . The track straight away was two or three lanes wide and super smooth. The novice cars all seemed to get faster and faster every time they hit the track . Novice B racer Hudson Moorfoot was a prime example and was going twice as fast by heat 4 and looked like he could be mixing it with the Novice A group. Speaking of Novice A , 5 cars per heat made for exciting racing and some side by side racing for many laps was a highlight. All cars had a shot at running up the front with Rusty Ponting and Koby O'Shannassy taking two heat wins each . Jaime Balcombe also showed he is fast and consistent , banking good points and getting a front row start for the final . 120cc class had three cars contest the heats and Jayden Lock was again the man to beat. Blake and Chelsea Balcombe mixed it up for the minors and have closed the gap a bit to Jayden . 160cc demo run was by P.J Matherson in the Vic 88 and what can we say. FAST P.J really showed the crowd just how fast these little cars can go and clocked a "Quick Time" of 10.7 seconds. Night fell , and it was time for finals . With Laangs lights shining brightly, Hudson Moorfoot was the first of the Novice B,s to win a final and proudly carry the Chequered flag around , followed home by Leah Balcombe . Novice A saw Jamie Balcombe take the lead from Rusty Ponting and Koby OShannassy. Half race distance Rusty put a outside move on Jamie , only to cut down to early and spin both of them out , Rusty getting sent to the rear . The battle for first was on again and in lapped traffic Jamie went high and Koby went low which payed of for Koby who took the lead and went on to win again . Back to Back. Rusty came back from the rear to take third from Arthur Hutchinson in fourth , Bailey Hutchinson 5th. 120cc was again dominated by Jayden Lock , with Blake Balcombe edging out his sister Chelsea for second . Chelsea third home . All these cars where lapping in the low 11 second times which is very fast and Jayden was only .4 off 160cc times . Very impressive . Big thank you to Laang Speedway for preparing a fast and smooth track and supplying officials , we looking forward to going back again next season with bigger and better numbers. Next meeting is Round 12 at Alexander on Saturday 14th of May. Racing from 10am.
